Willy Kotiuga is a distinguished leader who bridges engineering excellence and faith-based entrepreneurship. Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing from the University of King’s College in Halifax, Willy blends technical expertise with creative communication.

As Senior Director of Strategic Studies at SNC-Lavalin, a global engineering firm, Willy has advised governments, funding agencies, and private investors on infrastructure projects in over 25 countries. His strategic insights and experience in managing complex projects make him a trusted advisor.

At Bakke Graduate University (BGU), Willy serves as Chair of the Board of Regents and teaches a Metrics of Innovation course. This course empowers faith-based entrepreneurs by using predictive metrics to enhance organizational capacity and capability, fostering resilience, sustainability, and scalability.

Willy’s commitment to integrating faith with professional expertise is evident in his involvement with the Lausanne Movement. He actively contributes to workplace ministries, promoting faith-based dialogue and values in business. He was the program chair for the Lausanne Global Workplace Forum in Manila in 2019 and serves on the executive committee of the Lausanne/WEA Global Integrity and Anti-Corruption Network.

In addition to his advisory roles, Willy has led numerous due diligence efforts in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, showcasing his strategic business expertise.

Willy is completing his professional memoir, “Rules I Bent Without Breaking Them,” which recently won a Word Guild Award, and his personal memoir, “Theology Breakfast Club: A Stranger in the Theologians’ Den.” These works reflect his journey of integrating faith and professional life, offering insights for faith-based entrepreneurs seeking to navigate and thrive in the business world.

Willy has been married to Nita for the last 42 years, and they live in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. Nita is a retired pastor and certified spiritual director with a doctorate in transformational leadership.
