Nita Kotiuga – Director of Spiritual Formation, Bakke Graduate University
Nita Kotiuga serves as the Director of Spiritual Formation at Bakke Graduate University (BGU), where she integrates academic depth with spiritual discernment to guide leaders toward holistic transformation. Her journey with BGU began in 2012 when she enrolled in the Doctor of Transformational Leadership (DTL) program—a journey that would deepen her theology, sharpen her vision, and shape her calling. She earned her DTL in 2017.
Nita holds an MTS and a BA in Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her early ministry began with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, first as a student and then as a staff worker, where she served in two CEGEPs (Quebec’s junior colleges) and at Concordia University for six years. After becoming a mother to two daughters, her focus shifted toward family and leading Women’s Ministries in her local church.
Her doctoral dissertation centered on spiritual formation in the workplace, reflecting her lifelong passion to see everyday spaces become arenas for God’s transformative presence.
City Immersions were pivotal in her own leadership journey—especially her first one in Fresno in 2012. Now, she helps design and lead these immersive experiences, guiding others to hear God’s voice in the streets, stories, and struggles of the city.
Nita’s great joy is helping students, staff, and alumni recognize God’s voice in their daily lives. She believes that when academic rigor meets spiritual formation, redemptive leadership emerges—bringing flourishing to communities and workplaces around the world. In a globally connected learning community, she works faithfully to nurture unity and shared purpose across cultures and time zones.
